Even when you think you are providing value, there is often the temptation to think that, since it is valuable to you, it must be valuable to the other person. Not so!! The plain truth is that it simply may not be as valuable to the recipient. So, how do you know you are giving value? The answer below.
Do the opposite of what most people do – ASK!! Ask him/her/them/the company WHAT THEY WANT!
That’s it. It’s really that simple and is one of the most powerful questions. And generally, based on the “What’s In It For Me” common to just about anyone you will talk to, they will tell you!!!
It is mainly in the way you ask, but you will be a massively successful marketer if you give your clients WHAT THEY WANT, not what you think they want. Take yourself out of the equation and you are on your way – you can take that to the bank.
